In this Season 3 premiere of Safe Space with Jaxon , Jaxon sits down with content creator, podcast host, and author April Ajoy to unpack their shared upbringing in Evangelical Christianity, their journeys through deconstruction, and the tension of re-examining everything they once held as absolute. April, known for her sharp and thoughtful humor, uses her platform to expose harmful, toxic, and sometimes just weird traits of American Evangelicalismwhile still holding onto a more honest and inclusive expression of faith. Across platforms, shes built a strong and growing audience with over 13.8K YouTube subscribers, 207K Instagram followers, and over 406K on TikTok. From childhood faith to unraveling belief systems to questioning the literal interpretation of dreams and visions in the BibleAbraham, Moses, and Paulwe wrestle with a deeper question: What if the dream was wrong? Not meaningless but misinterpreted. And if thats the case what does it mean for everything built on top of it? This conversation isnt about tearing faith down. Its about asking better questions learning how to discern truth beyond tradition and ultimately confronting a question many are afraid to ask: What if weve been defending the wrong team this whole time? Episode 5
(Season 2: Ep 5) AA Meeting: Agnostics Anonymous
In this episode of Safe Space with Jaxon , Jaxon opens the floor for an unconventional kind of meetingone for those who dont claim certainty, but still choose to believe. AA Meeting: Agnostics Anonymous is a reflective space for people living in the tension between doubt and devotion. For believing agnosticsthose honest enough to say I dont know, yet observant enough to look at the world around them and sense that this all came from somewhere. Not through proof or dogma, but through awareness, pattern, and presence. This episode explores the idea that healthy religion can offer a framework to begin with a language, a structure, a starting pointbut that all frameworks are inherently limited. Discernment, not blind loyalty, is what allows us to grow beyond them. To hold belief with humility. To remain open to learning more. To recognize that reverence doesnt require certainty, and faith doesnt have to end where questions begin. Its a conversation about releasing fear-based faith without abandoning spirituality altogether. About choosing belief as a conscious posture rather than an inherited obligation. About living ethically, staying curious, and allowing wonder to coexist with doubt. No altar calls. No arguments. Just space for honesty, humility, and lived fruit. New episodes of Safe Space with Jaxon drop every Friday. To explore these themes more deeply, check out Jaxons book Only Us , available on Amazon in Kindle, paperback, and Audible formats. Episode 11
(Season 1:Ep. 11) Trapped Under Our Own Narratives
Technology keeps advancingfaster than most of us are comfortable with. Cars drive themselves, AI learns at an exponential rate, and instead of asking how to use these tools wisely, we often default to fear. But fear isnt really about technology. Its about agency. In this episode, Jaxon explores why the real human struggle has never been access to information, but the ability to interpret it correctly. From using AI as a thinking companion rather than a threat, to examining how humans misread each other in real timelet alone ancient texts translated, edited, and reinterpreted across centuriesthis conversation challenges the idea of certainty, especially religious certainty. Jaxon questions biblical inerrancy, not to provoke, but to expose the impossibility of a mistake-free, human-handled text. If humans are fallibleand history proves we arethen our confidence in perfect interpretations may be the real delusion. The episode closes with a haunting allegory: five construction workers trapped beneath rubble, conscious, waiting, listening, hoping. A story about innocence, randomness, interpretation, and the narratives we cling to when control is gone. This isnt an episode about rejecting faith, technology, or tradition. Its about learning how to think, not just what to believeand choosing stories that move us toward awareness instead of fear. Listen. Reflect. Then decide what youll do with what you know. Episode 12
(Season 2: Ep. 12) The Illusion of Naming the Unnameable (w/ Keith Giles)
What if the moment we gave God a name we lost something? In this episode of Safe Space with Jaxon , Jaxon sits down with best-selling author, speaker, and Heretic Happy Hour co-host Keith Giles for a thought-provoking conversation on humanitys need to define the Divine. Keith Giles is the author of the seven-part Jesus Un series and the SOLA series, and has been featured on CNN with Anderson Cooper, Coast to Coast Radio, USA Today, BuzzFeed, and John Fugelsangs Tell Me Everything. His recent Quantum Gospel worksexploring texts like the Gospel of Thomas and the Gospel of Maryhave become Amazon best-sellers, continuing to challenge how we understand faith, Jesus, and the nature of God. From ancient golden calves to modern religious language, this conversation explores how names, labels, and doctrines can quietly become the very idols we think weve left behind. Have we mistaken the name for the reality? Together, Jaxon and Keith unpack: Why humans feel the need to name and define God How theology and religious identity can become modern-day idols The deeper meaning behind the kingdom within What it looks like to move beyond labels and live out love At the center of this conversation is a simple but challenging idea: Maybe God was never meant to be namedonly experienced. And maybe love was never meant to belong to religion at all.
