Evangelicals in the news

Sadly, last week we lost Ralph Winter, an eminent missiologist and minister who died after cancer treatment at 88. After serving as professor at Fuller Seminary, Winter founded the U.S. Center for World Mission and William Carey International University. A leading voice at the International Congress on World Evangelization in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1974, he called Christians to focus on "unreached people groups," and for the following thirty-five years had an enormous influence not only on the field of missiology but also on missionaries around the world.
