Tales from the Crypt

We walked out into the muted sunlight of the early evening and over to share our simple dinner together in Florence on the steps above the city. I raised my plastic wine glass in honor of the men like St. Miniato and the women like Matilda of Canossa, some famous, mostly anonymous, people whose faith honored God and guided their pilgrimages and whose vision still inspires our steps.
