The Toxic Haunting

My toxic blood was running throughout my whole body, including my brain, and affecting my perceptions in this way. It was truly terrifying. I felt haunted, and there was nothing fun or safe about it.

I tried to explain this to the admitting doctor and he said it was very rare, but that he had heard of it before. It was such a relief to know that someone understood, and didn't think I was crazy.

Finally the day came for my transplant, and as soon as I awoke I was able to think clearly again. The haunting was over. The spider webs were gone.

God has been so good to me, but it was a important lesson in totally trusting Him unconditionally without reservation.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make strait your paths." (Proverbs 3: 5-6)
