The "Mary" Prayer that Points to Jesus

In the fourth and fifth decades of the Rosary, I recall the other scenes from Jesus' childhood; Mary and Joseph, like all of us, have to walk through life with humble and total trust in God. They didn't see the whole story as they lived out these events. The Presentation. The Finding of Our Lord in the Temple.

Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen said that the Rosary is a "book for the blind." As a blind person it helps me to "read" through the Bible Verses with each prayer.

When I described how my thoughts progress as I pray the Rosary, Diane asked, "Huh. You are thinking about all of that?"

Yes. Because the Rosary invites us to think about it, and relate to it. As moms who share memories, we often reminisce about those long-ago days in the play-group, not unlike Mary, pondering and treasuring words and moments "in her heart" (Luke 2: 19).

With Christmas only a week away, to all my readers I wish you a very happy and blessed Christmas!
