Signs, Wonders and a Baptist Preacher
How Jesus Flipped My World Upside Down
by Chad Norris
"This is not a theological book...Chad is simply telling his story. A story of redemption and grace and healing and love."
—Jack Deere, senior pastor, Wellspring Church, Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, and author of Surprised by the Power of the Holy Spirit.
Even though Jesus said we will do even greater things than he did, we don't. Why not?
If we say that we are children of a Father who props up His feet on the moon, then might our lives resemble something close to supernatural?

The more I prayed, the more I saw people getting healed. Novel concept. I prayed and still pray with tiny faith and huge revelation of His love for us.
How does a Baptist who journeyed through clinical depression end up writing a book on his experiences—with signs, wonders and healings—being naturally supernatural? I am still asking that same question.
I'm a liberal Protestant gal who believes in prayer but doesn't think she could really heal someone ... but after talking with Baptist preacher Chad Norris for the Book Club, I wanted to run right out and lay hands on someone!
Chad Norris and I would agree that the lovers of Jesus need to keep on asking Him to throw His fastball. His love will sort the rest out.
Norris, as confident as he is about the ministry of the Spirit, makes an important caveat in the book - not everyone is healed in his book, and it is not because of a lack of faith.
Chad Norris and I both recognize, despite very different theological starting points, that faith and prayerful intercession open up the doors of perception, elicit new possibilities, and bring forth greater energies that can transform us, those for whom we pray, and our world.

Can anyone really consider me a woman of faith when I most often live in a place of skepticism, of doubt, of dismay, of disappointments, of disbelief?
For those who have been taught that the supernatural died out with the apostles, this will be a wonderful challenge and introduction to a new dimension of the Christian life.
