Donald Trump Defends Bill O’Reilly During Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Bill O’Reilly has been accused of sexual harassment from multiple women resulting in many advertisers leaving his show. But of course our joke of a president still wanted to defend him. Trump said in a New York Times interview:

“I think he’s a person I know well — he is a good person. I think he shouldn’t have settled; personally I think he shouldn’t have settled. Because you should have taken it all the way. I don’t think Bill did anything wrong.”

This is just embarrassing, but unsurprising. The man who bragged about grabbing women by their genitals is defending a man accused of sexual harassment from multiple women. This happened days after Trump declared April as Sexual Assault Awareness month. I’m so tired of these terrible abusive men having so much authority.

The Trump presidency reflects some dark times in our country. And Bill O’Reilly still having a show is just sad. However, my hope is that these types of sexist, ignorant men will no longer have power in the future. Younger generations are much more progressive and don’t put up with such nonsense. Let’s hope that Bill and Donald are the last few examples of a sad time in our country.
