    You always need to remember that when a scientist does a book or video for the general public, it is most often to present speculative ideas. This can lead to a program of research, the results of which can convince the majority of their fellow scientists of the probable truth of their ideas, but until this happens I would be leery of using the phrase the phrase “Science tells us that …”.
