Dr. Daniel Fincke  has his PhD in philosophy from Fordham University and spent 11 years teaching in college classrooms. He wrote his dissertation on Ethics and the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche. On Camels With Hammers, the careful philosophy blog he writes for a popular audience, Dan argues for atheism and develops a humanistic ethical theory he calls “Empowerment Ethics”.     Well obviously I love it. But I’m definitely glad to see this pic getting wider circulation because it is both thought-provoking and fun in a geeky sort of way. Thanks for the signal-boost.

    I think you’re right. Which is also why I didn’t get it, I was trying to think of a hero or group, since that’s what everything else was.

    Yes the C is from Action Comics. Just say a pic of Action Comics #1 (first appearance of Superman), it’s the same C. Maybe the designers really like Superman?
