Good Humored Rivals

As a Nietzschean there is a soft spot in my heart for mutually admiring rivals. I’m not much of a fan of Ryan Seacrest and I haven’t watched The Today Show even once that I can remember since I was in high school. But I enjoyed watching this interview in which Matt Lauer and Ryan Seacrest teased the audience by discussing rumors that Seacrest might replace Lauer on the show. According to The Huffington Post they probably knew that the issue was already settled behind the scenes and so was actually a non-issue before they engaged in this back-slappy banter. But I found it charmingly amusing anyway.
