Physicist Victor Stenger has died at age 79

As reported by Hemant Mehta over at The Friendly Atheist, Victor Stenger has passed away.

I am very saddened by this news as Stenger played a major role in my atheist activism, along with the works of Dawkins, Hitchens and others, Stenger’s God: The Failed Hypothesis shaped my arguments and made me the writer I am today and the writer I aim to be someday.

Stenger passed while on vacation in Hawaii and according to his wife he will be cremated this Saturday and a memorial held in Honolulu on Sunday.

He was an approachable man and a wise man and I will forever miss him and I look forward to reading what will now be his final book, God and the Multiverse.
