Bowling for Abortion Access

Since religious-right legislators continue to put insultingly ridiculous obstacles in the path of women seeking abortion – like the latest one, a proposed bill in South Dakota that would specify that the mandatory 72-hour waiting period wouldn’t include weekends or holidays – we pro-choice people have to do what we can to make it easier for women to exercise that choice.

That’s why the National Network of Abortion Funds is holding its fourth annual Abortion Access Bowl-a-Thon, raising money to help women who can’t otherwise afford them. And this year my wife is the captain of a team, The Lucky Flukes, that’s taking part in the competition. If you’d like to help out a good cause, please pledge your support! Here’s the link for her fundraising page:

As an extra sweetener, I’ll give away a signed copy of my book to one randomly chosen donor. If you’re interested in that, just be sure to give a valid e-mail address when you make your donation.
