Craziest Tag Team Ever

In the annals of political crazy, this combination may be unbeatable. Orly Taitz is teaming up with Sharron Angle to combat election fraud, which Angle says is the only reason she lost her Senate race to Harry Reid.

Self-proclaimed queen of the birther movement Orly Taitz appears to be teaming up with former Senate candidate Sharron Angle (R-Nev.) to combat “rigged elections.”

Taitz unveiled the partnership on her website, displaying a series of email correspondences with Angle. In the exchange, Taitz cites election fraud as the reason Angle lost her bid to unseat Harry Reid (D-Nev.) in the 2010 midterm elections.

Another featured email quotes Angle as saying she’s “working with the election integrity group.”

“We want to make sure we have a fair and honest election this cycle in every state — especially in California,” the Angle email said. “There are lots of important races there.”

I think Christine O’Donnell should be a part of this too. And Michele Bachmann.

What struck me in this partnership is that I cannot determine who’s reputation is degraded more by association with the other.

O’Donnell is a nice addition for sheer idiocy. Bachmann may be a wee bit busy campaigning for her old seat.

To be fair, it’s smarter to cry “Voter Fraud” than to say “Democracy sucks because I did not win therefore I’m going to go and try to rig as many elections as I can”

  • dingojack

No doubt Oily will get exactly as much evidence of voter fraud as she did for her earlier bĂȘte noire – birferism.

  • MikeMa

Oily’s aim is still the same. Evidence clearly has nothing to do with her efforts. In addition to proposing voter restrictions targeted at reducing democratic voting blocks, her efforts will include a “natural born proof” clause.

Whatever excuse is needed to sooth their fragile egos, I guess. Plenty of idiots that make decisions based on identity politics will be all too willing to lend their support. “If (x) said it, it must be correct!”

Given the wingnuts’ widely known proclivity for projection, one wonders if Angle’s true concern is that there wasn’t enough election fraud.

  • MikeMa

Exactly. She intends to try and make voter suppression, a form of voter fraud, into law.

Angle lost by 41,000 votes; about 6 points. It wasn’t even close.

That might just be near the number of brown people she plans to exclude from the next election.

I wonder when Sharron Angle is going to keep her election promises with regards to “second amendment remedies”.

I’m in Nevada, and from what I can tell, what really did her in was her history as a state legislator. She served in the NV lege for 8 years, during which she accomplished virtually nothing. Her record was enough to kill her Senate hopes, not any ridiculous “voter fraud.”

I can’t wait to see who they say is directly responsible for this alleged occurrence of voter fraud.

…because I’d say whoever they name directly would have a good case to sue them for slander.

I do so wish someone would shut these nutbaggers up.

  • Ichthyic

… or is it libel? I assume they would be accusing someone of a criminal act, so… libel, yeah?

Oily, Sharron and Christine would make fine candidates for the witch trio in MacBeth, Christine’s protestations of non-witchery notwithstanding. Except instead of one eye to share among them, they would have to make do with one brain cell.
