  • Typical liberals, always pushing the Culture War on America. Everybody knows that science class is for Jesus. The longer you deny it the farther behind you’ll be, and the harder it will be for you to break into the many new and exciting job Opportunities of the Future in ministry and fast food preparation.

Thanks for telling us about this. Its an important subject that needs to be dealt with right now. Pseudoscience and pseudohistory need to be kept out of our schools and contrary to the far right conservatives pushing this agenda, its not the left who is pushing it here. Even if you’re able to find one or two genuine instances where leftists push falsehoods in our schools, most likely, 9 out of 10 times it will be people on the right doing it.

Not being a resident of Texas, I have never heard McLeroy speak. He certainly pulls no punches when talking about his theocratic vision for the future of Texas. No wonder he and the others on the TBOE are so unflinching in their opposition to evolution: they have God “on their side.” You can’t reason with such people. A supertanker full of scientific evidence would not change their obdurate faith one iota.

Have the voters in Texas forgotten something about the First Amendment, that they keep electing these bozos year after year?

Maybe yes, since David Barton is trying so hard to convince them that church and state aren’t supposed to be separate.

It’s already too late. Many of the children who are currently being taught the lies will continue to believe them until the day they die. In fifty years from now the Texas Parliament will be full of politicians who regard Barton as a well-respected historian.

It may not be too late to stop that or least lessen the impact. Also the correct term is legislature. The united states doesn’t use the parliamentary system.

Colbert Report had Don McLeroy on last month discussing The Revisionaries…

Its just the typical demagoguery of preemptive accusation. Accuse your opponents of your own worst faults first so if they try to rebut your claim you can just say “no, you’re the poopie head.” Your own poopie/ditto heads will know that you are right ’cause you said it first.

    Ah, Texas.

    Y’all seen this one yet?

(In fairness, some areas of my home state (Florida) are probably just as crazy.)
