Star Parker: Nuttier Than a Snickers Bar

Star Parker, self-declared former welfare queen turned right wing pundit, is prone to making pronouncements so extreme and absurd that even her fellow conservatives feel slightly embarrassed for her. Here’s a perfect example, during an episode of Hannity about black conservatives:

“When we look at who is behind this strategy, the liberal Democrats have not changed their M.O,” Parker said amid a discussion among African American conservatives on Fox News’ Hannity.

“This is not a new strategy, they used it during slavery. Remember, every time the word ‘freedom’ was mentioned and African Americans at that time heard about freedom — if you ran away, they would bring you back to that plantation — the overseer — the overseer today is the Congressional Black Caucus, their exclusive job is to keep them on the plantation, keep them uneducated, and keep them unarmed. And this was the same job as the overseer of the slave plantation, which was liberal Democrats.”

“They would take that slave, they would strip the skin off of him and make everybody watch,” she added. “And that is what they do to us.”

Criticism…having your skin stripped off…same thing, right? Tomato, tomatoe.

About Ed Brayton

After spending several years touring the country as a stand up comedian, Ed Brayton tired of explaining his jokes to small groups of dazed illiterates and turned to writing as the most common outlet for the voices in his head. He has appeared on the Rachel Maddow Show and the Thom Hartmann Show, and is almost certain that he is the only person ever to make fun of Chuck Norris on C-SPAN.

And the “liberal” Democrats were doing all of that to maintain the status quo? It’s a shame that the parties didn’t have to change their names when they change ideologies.

And this was the same job as the overseer of the slave plantation, which was liberal Democrats.

I’m throwing out my wingnut to English dictionary, it is apparent that it’s not that words have different meanings to these people it’s that they have no meaning at all.

Not only is Parker using wildly different definitions for the words she uses, but her syntax is so badly borked, I can’t even parse what her statement is actually supposed to say.

Is she any nuttier then Alan Keyes?

So, when will she be nuttier than a Pay Day bar? ‘Cause Pay Day bars are almost totally nuts.

Ok, I had to read that three times before it made sense. Now my head hurts. . .

Does anyone have the slightest clue what that word salad was supposed to mean? I’ve tried re-punctuating it, but it’s still completely incoherent.
