On the Radio Again

I gave up my radio show in Grand Rapids last year to write the book, which I’m still working on, because I just didn’t have the time to do both. But now I’m going back on the air one day a week as the co-host of the Sex, Politics and Religion hour with my dear friend Jamila Bey. I’ll only be on with her once a week, on Tuesdays from 6-7 pm EST, so it won’t be much work for me. I’m excited about it because Jamila’s just awesome and I think we’ll have a lot of fun with it. On our first show this week, we’ll be interviewing Marcy Wheeler about last week’s incredible revelations about the NSA spying programs. Tune in!

  • I look forward to hearing your gruff tones again Ed, it’s been too long!

Glad to hear it. Out of curiousity, when you’re done with your book are you going to pick up Culture Wars Radio again?

  • Matrim — Possibly. If I do, it will likely be next year sometime. I do miss doing radio.

“Sex” sells. Bet your rating are twice as your old show simply because it has Sex in the name.

  • Well, Jamila has had this show by that name for years. And the show airs on stations in Washington, DC, New York and other cities, so it’s a much bigger reach whether I was on the show or not.
