Beck Gets Recharged

Last week, Glenn Beck was all depressed and forlorn, saying that it was too late to save the country. But then he went to a Tea Party rally and guess who showed up? God! And now Beck says he’s back and fired up to save the country from the scourge of rationality.

About Ed Brayton

After spending several years touring the country as a stand up comedian, Ed Brayton tired of explaining his jokes to small groups of dazed illiterates and turned to writing as the most common outlet for the voices in his head. He has appeared on the Rachel Maddow Show and the Thom Hartmann Show, and is almost certain that he is the only person ever to make fun of Chuck Norris on C-SPAN.

Watching politics on the right is like watching pro-wrestling.

  • Doubting Thomas

Without your updates on him, I don’t know how I’d keep up with ol’ Glenn, since actually listening to him makes me want to vomit. Same same with Mush Lumber.

  • Taz

And to think, he was this close to just giving up. But then god came and gave him the strength to continue sucking money out of gullible people. Sort of puts a lump in your throat.

  • Synfandel

It takes Mr. Beck a minute and three quarters to say nothing.

“Watching politics on the right is like watching pro-wrestling.”

And I didn’t think it was possible to denigrate Pro-Wrestling!!

I’m still waiting for the big revelation that was going to bring down the entire power structure in Washington. And the previous one.

Okay, so God shows up. That should settle it once and for all, right? No more doubting, no more depression, no more feeling bad. Everything is okay forever after, right?

I wonder how soon before Beck lapses into another gloomy hopeless despairing mood, even with a few tears and sobs?

So who takes Beck seriously and sends him tens of millions of dollars?

It’s hard to believe but people do. His network is growing a fast 45% a year.

On another forum that has little to do with politics or religion, I found one, someone I’ve known distantly online for many years.

    1. He is very angry.

    2. He is incoherent.

    3. There is a neurological problem here. Delusions and mental illness or some type of age related cognitive problem. This guy is well into that age group and this looks most likely.

    raven, they’re called “Patriots”.

I’m gonna go with, “The next time his takings from the Big Con start to slow down,” for my guess.

“I’m going to go away. No really, i’m going to do it! I’ll hold my breath until I die, and THEN WON’T YOU BE SORRY!”

The sad part is that it works for him, every time. PTB would have admired this guy.

I usually pass in watching these Beck clips because the stupid (it burns). This one wasn’t so bad.because Synfandel @4 was right. Beck said nothing. To understand what Beck said, just replace “God” with “Money”. Money showed up so everything is all right.

Now that I think about it, a fair number of wingnuts do come across much like The Ultimate Warrior

Wait, I thought these were the end days? What’s he got to be so happy about?
