Trump Would Spend Freely on Presidential Run

I think we’re on, what, season 3 of Donald Trump’s TV series entitled Egomaniac Billionaire Claims Interest in Running for President In Order to Get Attention. On his most recent appearance in Iowa, he said that if he decided to run — he won’t — he would spend as much as it took to win.

Donald Trump, who pegs his net worth at $10 billion, said on Sunday that he would spend whatever it takes to win the GOP nomination if he decides to run for the White House in 2016…

If he ran in 2016, he said he would spare no expense.

“If I made a decision, I’d spend a lot,” he said in an interview with ABC News, acknowledging the race would likely cost half a billion dollars or more. “If I did it, I’d spend whatever it took.”

Donald Trump is not going to run. Ever. Like Sarah Palin, he has great interest in appearing to want the job so that everyone will pay attention to him and fawn over him, but he has no interest at all in actually doing the job.

Though at least unlike Palin, it’s not because he’s lazy. He’s just an attention whore.

I’m still waiting for the big reveal of that rock-solid evidence he said he had that Obama was not a US citizen.

2016? Why? Will The Apprentice still be on then?

Considering that Trump’s mother was not a US citizen when he was born, he’s not a natural born citizen so he is ineligible. If it applies to Obama, it also applies to Trump.

Donald Trump is not going to run. Ever.

Given that he’s probably got more skeletons in his closets than a well-appointed Natural History museum, he likely literally can’t ever run for a major public office. But that won’t stop the Teabaggers from dreaming (wet dreams) about Trump in the Oval Office – because he’s exactly what they feel a US President should ideally be: a huge asshole. For Teabaggers, there’s not political problem, foreign or domestic, that couldn’t be easily solved by just being as much of an asshole as you can possibly be.

Please. There’s no need to insult honest sex workers by comparing them to Donald Trump.

“Donald Trump, who pegs his net worth at $10 billion…”

I take offense at this idea that rich people’s worth is measured by their money. Trump may have lots of cash, but it’s obvious he’s worth less than the shit I scraped off my shoes.

Sure, but by 2016 the Overton Window will have (again) shifted. Trump will be a Moderate by then. Lambasted as a RINO, he’ll be smacked down in the primaries by MegaReagan, Robot Patriot (“Mister Trump-bzzzz-says he is a Conservative-bzzz-but is he bzzz-really? Whirr-clunk-clunk-dogwhistle. In 2016, the choice-bzzz is clear for-bzzz Americans in America: MegaReagan, Robot Patriot.”).

Somewhere in the midwest is an enormous warehouse. Maybe disguised as an Amazon distribution center, or maybe dug into the side of a large hill, nobody knows for sure. What we do know is that it is the largest warehouse in the US, for it is where Modusoperandi stores all the internets he’s won.

    Whirr-clunk-clunk-dogwhistle.

    Sppppphhhht!! Sigh, here’s another.

But Artor, Trump’s only selling point is his net worth. When pressed for his qualifications as President this weekend, all he could talk about was the amazing net worth of his company. Apparently measuring peni…errr, bank account size is the only way he can compare himself.

I remember 20 or 30 years ago when Trump’s net worth was much less than mine — as in the negative multi-millions. Unlike me, however, the banks were falling all over themselves to lend him more money they already knew he couldn’t pay back.

Perhaps it isn’t The Donald that’s crazy however — maybe the rabid squirrel on his head has taken over his speech center.

Michelle Malkin once blogged about him that he was not a True Capitalist but a shameless subsidy-sucker. That could well be true, but I’d need some sources independent of Ms. Malkin.

In case anyone was wondering, no, the US is not a corporate kleptocracy where money buys influence and rank is for sale. Where could anyone possibly get that idea from?

Another Trump run would be fun. End of April 2011, Trump goes on the birth certifcate attack. Obama releases long form birth certificate. A few days later at the correspodents dinner, Obama publicly humiliates the thinskinned Trump. A day or two after that, The Apprentice is pre-empted by Obama’s announcement of the killing of bin Laden. Trump slinks away and formally leaves the race two weeks later.

It would be fun to watch the Clinton machine to serve Trump his own balls on a platter. Alas, Ed is right: he’ll never run.
