I Love Patton Oswalt

I think Patton Oswalt is one of the top five comedians working today. He’s been remarkably consistent in putting out one great cd/dvd after another and he has a totally unique voice. Here’s another reason to love him. A company offered to pay him to Tweet on behalf of certain products and his response is fucking brilliant.

And then he decided to send them some potential Tweets on behalf of various products. Like this one:

Read them all above. He just keeps going with them, each one funnier and more offensive than the last. Bill Hicks would be so proud.

About Ed Brayton

After spending several years touring the country as a stand up comedian, Ed Brayton tired of explaining his jokes to small groups of dazed illiterates and turned to writing as the most common outlet for the voices in his head. He has appeared on the Rachel Maddow Show and the Thom Hartmann Show, and is almost certain that he is the only person ever to make fun of Chuck Norris on C-SPAN.

And then to dig the hole even deeper, Brand Influencers came back with this trite lame-ass fallacy:

Hey Patton! We apologize if you felt offended in any way! Not our intention-happy holidays!

(Just found a copy of Rejected on Don Hertzfeldt’s Youtube account with running notes from Don himself, talking about how many times he has actually turned down advertising requests, and wondering what the heck they must have been thinking to ask him after he did Rejected…)
