Dobson: Contributions Are Down. Thanks Obama!

James Dobson sent a message to his supporters at Christmas, asking them to please donate to his organization because contributions are down and they’re bleeding money. And why are contributions down? Because of Obamacare, of course. Is there anything Obamacare can’t do?

Family Talk is not only attempting to strengthen marriage, parenting and the family; we are also working tirelessly to defend righteousness in the culture. For example, with the help of the Alliance Defending Freedom, (ADF), we will be bringing a lawsuit this month against HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to stop her Department from assaulting the Sanctity of Human Life. As I hope you know, the Obama Administration has mandated and intends to require that pro-life organizations, such as ours, and our healthcare insurers or administrators provide abortion-inducing drugs and devices to our employees, and thereby violate our deeply held convictions. Family Talk has not yielded to those demands and is going into court on behalf of many other organizations that believe the government is tragically wrong. We are on the front lines in the battle to end these atrocities. You will read about this litigation in the newspapers in coming months, and I hope you will be praying with us and ADF in this endeavor.

I must close by telling you that our contributions during the summer and fall of 2013 have been far below our needs. It isn’t difficult to figure out where that leads. It is likely that this shortfall in income has been caused in part by economic uncertainty and the utter foolishness of Obamacare. But if you can help us here at the end of the year, it would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a great reason to support Obamacare.

Loot intake to Dobson’s organizations have been falling for over a decade. He no longer has anything to do with Focus on Hating Everything but they aren’t doing so well either, having had several rounds of layoffs.

This is becoming a common pattern. A lot of the churches are having financial problems and 4,000 close every year in the USA.

The National Council of Churches is another one. They recently had to move out of the headquarters and shut down some of their operations.

FWiW, James Dobson, wants his followers to breed like rabbits. The fundies can’t recruit so they have to reproduce.

    1. James Dobson has one biological child. One!!! He has better things to do with his time and money than be a rabbitlike breeder.

    2. There are a lot of reasons why his organizations are failing. Dobson is a clueless idiot whose advice is a recipe for disaster. He is a wild eyed hater.

And a flaming hypocrite. He was always demanding that women stay at home, barefoot and pregnant. And then supported Sarah Palin for Vice President. While Palin has bunny credentials with 5 kids, she is anything but a stay at home mom and the primary money earner in her family.

This hypocrisy was not lost on some of his female followers.

Another good reason is Ken Ham of the Creation ‘museum’ is blaming the Ark Park’s financial issues and the need to have supporters buy unsecured ‘junk’ bonds on the ACA (Obamacare) as well:

In large part because of AiG’s [Answers in Genesis’] strong biblical stand against the Obamacare legislation’s mandated coverage of abortion-causing drugs, AiG pursued a change in the Ark Encounter funding structure that now includes a bond investment opportunity for you to consider. Actually, God has used this legislation for good! … [O]ur stand has created an exciting opportunity for you. Now you will be able to invest in what I believe to be to be one of the most thrilling outreaches to challenge church and culture in the USA and worldwide concerning the authority of the Word of God and the saving gospel.”

    Thanks Obama!

No, really, thank you from a grateful Kentucky resident.

Study shows declining life span for some US women – Yahoo News

    news. yahoo. com/study-shows-declining-life-span-us-women-210806663…‎

Mar 4, 2013 – Curiously, for men, life expectancy has held steady or improved in nearly … The study is the latest to spot this pattern, especially among disadvantaged white women. … numbers show the average life span for a baby girl born today is 81, …

It too found that women were dying sooner, especially in the South.

    1. Ironically, one of the main targets of Obamacare are the…fundies.

For the first time in a century, average life spans are falling for some groups. Mostly rural white women in the south and west. These are fundies mostly. This shouldn’t be happening, not in the USA.

No one is sure why but access to health care is suspected.

    2. Despite the fiasco of the rollout, signup for Obamacare is going well. They were aiming for 7 million the first year and are already at 6 million.

Reports are that Republicans are signing up in expected numbers.

    3. We won’t know how successful and comprehensive Obamacare is for several years. Signup for these sorts of programs is always slow and backloaded, what happened with Romneycare in Massachusets. But so far, it looks like it will be successful.

The christofascists have probably picked the wrong target to blame for their failing religion.

So let’s see, Obama is not quite powerful enough to try and kill Pat Robinson by mysteriously and extremely remotely cutting his stainless steel brake lines (or something or rather), but plenty powerful enough to stop the sheepie, sorry rubes, no wait a minute I mean, faithful donating to his latest scam that is – faith-based initiative…..

Yeah right, and have I got a bridge to sell to you. (It’s cheep!)

Dobson: It is likely that this shortfall in income has been caused in part by economic uncertainty and the utter foolishness of Obamacare.

Sure, because nothing increases economic uncertainty like removing the possibility of medical bankruptcy from millions of people.

Oh, and the fact that the shortfall happened in summer and fall of 2013, before the ACA took effect, is further proof of the potency of the president’s dastardly designs.

Oh and furthermore, it makes perfect sense to describe something as both atrociously evil and utterly foolish at the same time. /sarc

Strange how Dobson is worried his employees will do things like buy abortion inducing drugs and devices. Aren’t they all good, God fearing Christians, just like Dobson?

It is likely that this shortfall in income has been caused in part by economic uncertainty and the utter foolishness of Obamacare.

I suppose he hasn’t even considered the attrition of his core supporters as a contributing factor. You can’t count on disaffected white male seniors forever, you know. Sooner or later, they’ll start dying of conditions preventable by access to health insurance and medical care, or by natural causes (at least those not immediately targeted by Death Panels).
