Robertson Again Laments GOPs Lurch to the Right

As he did before the 2012 election, Pat Robertson has amusingly complained that the Republican party has moved to far to the right and is nominating people that can’t get elected. Man, when Pat Robertson thinks you’re too far to the right, that’s like Charlie Sheen telling you to stop drinking so much.

A perfect example of this occurred last year in Virginia where the Rethuglicans nominated Koo Koo Ken Cuccinelli who lost a close race to Terry McAuliffe, who was certainly not a strong Democratic candidate. Had they run the then Rethuglican Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling, they probably would have won.

    He’s still a prick.

I told Charlie he just wanted the rest of the bottle for himself.

Can’t remember what happened next, but it involved bruises.

Now just hold on there, mister. I have a prick! And I resent having it compared to ol’ Pat. If you want to make an anatomical comparison, he’s more of a hemorrhoid.

    He used to feel special.

Trebuchet – looking at ol’ Pat’s face, I would have gone with scrotum.

My pet theory is he’s going to continue to bash the right until he states that he’s the one to fix everything. Then he runs for president again.

Though that would involve taking a massive paycut. Then the question then becomes, whom does Pat Robertson serve; Jesus Christ or Mammon?

  • dingojack

zero6ix – has there ever been any doubt it’s firmly the latter?

Well this doesn’t change Pat Robertson’s theocratic agenda. It just argues the right take baby steps because big leaps down the rabbit hole aren’t feasible.

A swing to the lunatic fringe right is what Robertson was advocating 30 years ago.

He got what he wanted, and now he says he doesn’t like it. And he and blames it on everyone but himself.
