RNC Official: Child Refugees Might Be ‘Highly Trained Warriors’

It’s incredible the lengths that the right is willing to go to in demonizing the thousands of child refugees who have fled Central America for the United States. They’re bringing ebola! (A virus that does not exist in their countries) They’re drug dealers and gangbangers! Now Tamara Scott, a member of the Republican National Committee from Iowa, adds her spin:

For us just to open our borders it’s chaos we don’t know orderly who’s coming in, who’s not. When we see these kids, you and I think young kids, we think maybe 12-year-olds, maybe even…middle-schoolers. But we know back in our revolution, we had 12-year-olds fighting in our revolution. And for many of these kids, depending on where they’re coming from, they could be coming from other countries and be highly trained as warriors who will meet up with their group here and actually rise up against us as Americans. We have no idea what’s coming through our borders, but I would say biblically it’s not a Christian nation when you entice people to do wrong.

I have absolutely no idea what the hell that last sentence could possibly mean. But yes, I’m sure they’re terrorists. Or ninjas. Or zombies. Or vampires. Or whatever scary boogeyman they feel the need to invoke to make people terrified of a few thousand desperately poor and downtrodden children who need our help. Warriors? Seriously? Does she think they’re going to all join together once they get settled in the US and attack the White House? Wait, that would make them Tea Partiers and patriots if they did that.

I don’t know how these people can sleep at night, I really don’t.

I don’t know how these people can sleep at night, I really don’t.

Being unable to sleep due to anxiety would explain a lot …

    The stupid, it burns.

More serious is some of the commentary on the ISIL from all manner of commentators. From some of this, one might get the impression that the ISIL is the reincarnation of the Wehrmacht and the Afrika Corps and that their leadership is a combination of Manfred Rommel, Heinz Gudarian, Genghis Khan, Douglas MacArthur, and George Patton. This appears to me to be an organized attempt to pressure the administration into a war against the ISIL. When will we ever learn.

Seriously? Does she think they’re going to all join together once they get settled in the US and attack the White House?

Of course not, that would be ridiculous. The White House is going to be given them the orders. First, the kids will scatter themselves across the country and hide under the beds of white people. Then, Obama will issue the command to execute Order 66 and the kids will pop out from under the beds, ice pick in hand, to murder white people in their sleep.

“Does she think they’re going to all join together once they get settled in the US and attack the White House? ”

They’ll join together to form Spictron.

    Who’ll be laughing then?

These COULD be just kids. But…they could be tiny terminators sent from future using Obama’s time machine to make sure he gets his 3rd term (and cause Ed to lose any number of bets).

Also, Tiny Terminators premieres this fall on Cartoon Network.

Wait, that would make them Tea Partiers and patriots if they did that.

If they could actually get all 50,000+ together in Washington, that would make them spectacularly more successful than the Tea Partiers and patriots.

    @5…silly person. It’s Order 666.

Or ninjas. Or zombies. Or vampires.

Holy shit! I hadn’t thought of that!

Apparently someone read/watched Kick Ass and thought it was a documentary, not a dubiously written take on extreme ’90s comic books.

Look, it’s disgusting in the first place that so-called christians are refusing to help children in need. But those that use christianity as a REASON not to help? Fuck those people.

And for many of these kids…they could be…warriors

    Warriors! Come out to play-ay-ay-y-y!

it’s not a Christian nation when you entice people to do wrong.

I think it’s pretty clear what she’s saying here. By having a prosperous economy while our neighbors are suffering in poverty, we’re just tempting them to try to sneak across our border. So clearly she’s advocating a massive giveaway of our GDP to our neighbors to help equalize the disparity.

She’s also making a cogent, Christian argument for heavy taxation of the rich and massive subsidies for the poor to equalize our own economy and remove the temptation for the poor to commit the sins of theft or envy.

What other possible interpretation could there be?

Not being able to sleep at night does make sense. if you are deprived of sleep long enough, you begin to hallucinate.

    @ dugglebogey,

Why do you think Andy Schlafly is rewriting the Bible?

It’s to get rid of those verses inserted into Gawd’s holy word by liberals that talk about loving foreigners who don’t speak ‘Murkan and helping the down-and-out poors and being nice to people who don’t go to their church or accepting people who have sex in ways they find inappropriate. Obviously those are things that would be an abomination to Jesus H* Christ.

    * refugees (or ‘reffos’) to Australia in the late 40’s to the 70’s were talked about in this way, thanks to the xenophobic mindset that was fuelled, in part, by the ‘threat of the ‘Yellow Peril’ & the ‘White Australia Policy’. After the seventies they were seen as a threat – as criminals and drug-dealers (whether they were or not). :(

A couple of weeks ago I suggested sarcastically that they might be highly-trained ninja dwarfs being smuggled in to lead Obama’s secret army in the final phase of the ongoing war of extermination being waged on white Christians.

I thought that might be going too far.

    I was wrong.
