Joyner: Some Christians Can Destroy Ebola Spiritually

Rick Joyner, who really does get more bizarre by the day, told his followers that during his 8-hour trip to heaven recently he discovered that there are Christians who have been given the power to destroy the Ebola virus and heal victims of it just by being in their presence.

During his recent visit, Joyner learned that there is no Ebola virus in Heaven and that Christians are capable of taking authority over the disease here on earth. In fact, there are certain people who are given “total authority over Ebola,” allowing them to cure people infected with the disease simply by being in their presence.

“Somebody with Ebola, they come into the room, the Ebola is gone,” Joyner said. “That person is healed. It cannot live, cannot exist in their presence.”

All Christians will one day have this same power, Joyner said, revealing that he even had a vision of children clearing entire regions of radiation simply through prayer.

So those Christians with that power are on their way to Western Africa to cure everyone who has been infected by the virus, right? Of course not, for the same reason that Benny Hinn doesn’t spend every day visiting hospitals with his vaunted ability to heal people: Because you can’t get paid that way. And one level down, because they don’t have that ability at all. It’s a con, a fraud, a grift, to relieve the credulous of their money.

When Rick Joyner goes over to Africa and licks the wounds of Ebola patients, then I’ll listen to him.

    Licks or nothing.

Joyner learned that there is no Ebola virus in Heaven

My, oh, my! Who’d have thought there was no infectious diseases in a place like heaven?

Really, do people still send this fool money? Don’t any of them say “Whoa! Where are those people when thousands are dying? Oh, wait a minute, maybe he’s lying!”

In fact, there are certain people who are given “total authority over Ebola,”

So, why aren’t they on a plane to West Africa right now? Think of how many converts they could gain just by walking through the village curing Ebola patients.

Joyner is a fraud. He knows this isn’t true. IMO, of course, there is a minor chance he is simply living in a world of delusions.

I’ve been following this Ebola outbreak.

The most optimistic computer models are showing 10,000 dead, 20,000 cases. The most pessimistic are a lot higher. A week or so ago, the WHO said they needed $1/2 billion and 6 months. Forget it, they need a lot more than that.

That is assuming the Ebola virus doesn’t mutate to become more human adapted. As an RNA virus they have high numbers and high mutation rates. Probably won’t but no one knows. It happened to HIV and SARS.

When my niece was a little girl I used to entertain her with magic tricks. She often begged, “Do something magic to me…” She was hoping I would make her invisible or magically transport her from one room to another. I think Joyner’s followers are operating at the same childish level. They desperately want some magic in their lives and here is Joyner, telling them exactly what they want to hear.

Plus, Don Rickles can destroy Ebola’s ego with a good put-down.

Can we infect him and see if he is one of “those Christians?” In the name of science, of course: I’m curious to see how long it would take before he starts screaming for medical treatment.

People like Joyner give stupid a bad name.

I’ve been asking TrueChristians who claim they can heal to visit their local VA hospitals for years. Funny how they can never manage to go.

“Somebody with Ebola, they come into the room, the Ebola is gone”…

…with the patient, who has run screaming from a bunch of beady-eyed fools with wings glued to their backs, several T-shaped torture devices at the ready, waving smelly candles around, feasting on possibly-human flesh, and drinking blood.

No Ebola in heaven?! Sounds like some kind of Shangri-La!

  • stever

He can’t lose. The outbreak subsides? Goddidit! The virus mutates and becomes the new Black Death? God works in mysterious ways! I would say that people who believe in faith healing deserve what they get, but some of them kill their children.

My first reaction is to call BS and demand they demonstrate the powers they claim to have.

But then I think about it and realize that these people are, at the very least, liars and deceivers who lie and deceive for money, power and control. But, just for the sake of argument, let’s assume they have the powers they claim to have. Wow, cool … you can beat a disease that is killing thousands by just walking around where it is present. You don’t even need to lift a finger. That is really cool.

But it also raises a question: If you can cure Ebola by just being present why the holy hell are you sitting here in the US? If you are given such a gift, shouldn’t you be using it? What sort of person would have such a gift and then withhold it? A person would have to be a hate filled, sadistic monster to be sitting there telling people what good you could do to help, and then failing to help.

These sorts of folks are always talking about their ability to spot demons and demonic possession. Are there no mirrors where they live?
