Alex Jones: Glenn Beck Works for Obama

In the ongoing battle between Glenn Beck and Alex Jones — a hilarious battle given how alike they are, and maybe that’s exactly the problem — has taken another step up. Jones has hinted before that he thinks Beck is an agent of the government, now he comes right out and says it.

David Knight joins Alex to discuss the accusation Glenn Beck recently made claiming that Alex is dangerous. Beck claims Alex knowingly edited Cliven Bundy’s statements and wants a violent revolution to occur. Any occasional listener to the show can testify to, Alex is neither about a violent revolution nor was he covering up Bundy’s remarks.

After all the attacks that Beck launches towards Alex and its becoming very obvious that Beck isn’t taking the queues from the SPLC or other groups like that, He’s writing the talking points. Evidence thus far is suggesting that Glenn Beck IS a white house [sic] operative!…

At 7:38 in the video, he says:

“He actually works for Obama. I’m sorry to have to say that.”…

At one point in the video, he said:

“It all just clicked. He probably actually meets with Obama.”

At no point do they provide any evidence for this ridiculous claim, of course, because Alex Jones doesn’t need evidence.

To be fair, neither does Beck. In fact, both of them consider anything resembling evidence to be proof of a false-flag distraction.

It all just clicked. He probably actually meets with Obama

Alex, when something suddenly starts clicking, it is often a sign of a malfunction … as in the case with your brain.

    Ed’s blog post title:

Alex Jones: Glenn Beck Works for Obama

    Two immediate thoughts:

    1) When observing the rightwing, the jokes frequently write themselves. I’m not sure how the blog post itself can top the title.

    2) A nice illustration of Voltaire’s prayer coming true.

  • timgueguen

Of course the real truth is that Jones is just saying that to hide that he’s the real Obama minion.

I actually have seen at least one crank site that claims Jones is a disinfo operative. I’m sure there are others.

Of course they’ve got a feud going. They’re rivals for the same wingnut dollars. Follow the money. Always follow the money.

This conflict is just to distract people from…Benghazi!!!

    So is the Ebola epidemic.

  • blf

The “two” of them are actually the same nutter. Have you ever seen them together? Have you?! Thought not. Hence, they are one-and-the-same.

(That’s a proof using logic to deduce from the evidence.)

  • comfychair

Absence of any evidence whatsoever is the strongest proof of all that it must be true. Duh!

  • comfychair

Which means, of course, that ALEX JONES is actually the one working for NObama!

  • Larry

Picture Obama in his lair, deep within his hollowed out volcano, holding his hairless cat, rubbing his hands together while hissing “Excellent!!”.

  • Modusoperandi

Actually, they’re both Obama agents. I heard it straight from a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy who knows Saul Alinsky.

  • caseyboucher

Poe’s law. You’ve got to admit that Glenn Beck is enough of a liability to his side that him being a deep cover liberal would explain a lot.

  • busterggi

Everyone works for Obama even if they don’t know it. We are all just pawns in his plan to take over the universe by overthrowing himself.

  • tsig

He’s going to sacrifice himself to himself to save us from himself.

  • lorn

IMHO a lot of this comes down to simple jealousy, Beck has done very well for himself. He has been able to, with the help of FOX news, mainstream his wacko nonsense and made a handsome profit, in the millions, doing it. Jones, by comparison, has remained small time on radio and web and has repeatedly been thwarted in mainstreaming anything or having any impact that gets credited back to him. His very imaginative theories do have an impact, they filter through to the right-wing consciousness as working assumptions, but nobody references him as a source.

  • tacitus

Jones wishes he had half the success Beck has, but unlike Beck, who can turn on the charm and the tears equally readily, Jones only knows rage and mockery. I haven’t seen one in a long time, but the purple-faced fury of Alex Jones is a sight to behold.

  • Area Man

I will not be satisfied that Alex Jones has completed his descend into madness until he fingers Alex Jones as a member of the conspiracy. The way things are going, it must end this way.

  • lorn

    tacitus @16:

Jones really does have the near-apoplectic “purple-faced fury” down pat.

A friend e-mailed me the address of a video of him fulminating over some outrage or another, with Jones it really doesn’t matter, and watching it I really thought he would blow a gasket and we would be soon be hearing a conspiracy theory about how he must have, for the first time, uncovered something real and the-powers-that-be offed him.

  • Uncle Ebeneezer

Speaking of purple-faced, I assumed his performance in Waking Life was performance art when I first saw it. Then realized he wasn’t acting at all. Scary.
