Robertson: God May Punish Houston Over Subpoenas

Pat Robertson, still flipping out about the already-withdrawn subpoenas from the city of Houston, warned on the 700 Club that God may destroy that city because of their defending of “militant homosexuals.” Hey, wasn’t Dover supposed to be punished by God after Judge Jones ruled against it?

Wasn’t putting Houston in Texas punishment enough?

Hey, wasn’t Dover supposed to be punished by God after Judge Jones ruled against it?

Yeah, but Huston is much more likely to be hit by a hurricane or tornado than Dover. God works in mysterious but strangely predictable ways.

Of course, the other eleven tribes of Israel might invade and destroy Huston …

I assume that the punishment robertson is referring to will come tuesday when texas elects the clown car called the slate of republican candidates to office in texas

I’m calling it here: Astros make the playoffs within five years. Unless God afflicts Jose Altuve with boils or something.

I have decided I need to make a comment template that goes…

    [Insert name] is an idiot.

It would work with Pat Robertson and oh so many other people you write about.

God–if it exists–is already punishing the whole country. By inflicting Pat Robertson on us. Along with all of the other religious, far-right idiots blathering away about their delusional notions.

I like how Robertson takes a sly dig at his ratbag followers when says:

I was reading in the book of Judges today; I don’t know how many of you read Judges, but…

God will punish Houston by sending a typhoon to Bangladesh sometime in the next 40 years. That’s how the guy operates.

  • Ray, rude-ass yankee (Whimsy, I has it)

Their imaginary god has terrible aim & timing, something terrible could happen anywhere in the world anytime in the next few years and Robertson would claim it’s because of Houston.

Holy crap! I’d be shaking in my boots if I lived in the Philippines.

  • jnorris

Next east coast hurricane, everybody in Virginia Beach should evacuate to Houston.

  • confidenceandparanoia

Didn’t he blame the disaster in Haiti on the overthrow of French rule by the slaves? Huston may have a long wait for god’s retribution to arrive.
