Beck Thinks Obama Should Have Been Impeached Over Van Jones

Let’s take another magical mystery tour of the mind of Glenn Beck, who thinks that if only the media “started to tell the truth,” President Obama would have been impeached at the very beginning of his administration back in 2009 when he briefly appointed Van Jones as a special adviser on green jobs.

The right-wing pundit was especially upset that the media didn’t embrace his 2009 campaign against Van Jones, whose short-lived White House post as an advisor on “green jobs” Beck thinks should have brought down the president.

“He wouldn’t be president, he would have been impeached years ago…if they would have been telling the truth the whole time, he would’ve been impeached,” Beck said. “Quite honestly, he would not have made it—if it was anyone else, he would not have made it through Van Jones.”

Yes Glenn, I’m sure that’s exactly what had happened. If only the mainstream media had hyperventilated over Van Jones, the Democrats who controlled both houses of Congress would have impeached a president from their own party in the first few months of his administration. I’m totally sure that would have happened, at least in the bizarro world you seem to live in.

I don’t know of anyone else who’s so impressed with his own genius despite all the evidence to the contrary than Glenn Beck. Still waiting to hear exactly how appointing someone to a post falls under the articles of impeachment, but I won’t hold my breath.

Does he even bother alleging that anything about Van Jones’ appointment was unlawful?

Impeachment for nominating someone you don’t like hardly reaches impeachement criteria. Even if Van Jones had been a certified mass murderer on death row. Isn’t one reason for undergoing a nomination procedure in the Senate the vetting of the candidate’s fitness for office? And that process sometimes actually finds them unfit?

By which logic, GW Bush should still be breaking rocks in Leavenworth after picking John Bolton as ambassador to the United Nations.

Well, Obama did nominate this the guy while being a) black, b) a Democrat, and c) both at the same time. Also, the post he appointed this unelected czar-mandarin to involved “green jobs”, which as we all know are a plot to destroy Murkin freedumbz as well as socialist, communist, Leninist, and some other ist-isms to the left of Mussolini.

A tad off topic, but regarding Beck:

In one of the most frightening moments of his life, he was tested for traumatic brain injury and found that he was functioning in the bottom tenth percentile.
