Huckabee Tells Easily Proven Lie

Mike Huckabee may be an ordained minister and a self-declared voice of Christian moral virtue, but he’s quite comfortable telling a lie that can be easily debunked by anyone with an internet connection. He told the Christian Post that Ted Nugent changed the sexually suggestive lyrics to Cat Scratch Fever when the two of them performed it together on Huckabee’s show.

“It’s no small wonder why the culture has become so crude when fathers and mothers allow and even encourage their children to devour vulgar, misogynistic, and violent material when it’s performed by ‘cool’ people like Jay-Z and Beyoncé,” he wrote. “With the First Lady so concerned about making sure her daughters’ bellies don’t ingest unhealthy food, how can she let their brains ingest obnoxious and toxic mental poison in the form of song lyrics?”

Huckabee was called a hypocrite by some in the media for that passage because he once had rocker Ted Nugent on his show singing “Cat Scratch Fever.” Huckabee told CP that the context was important. He would not share that song with a young child and Nugent changed some of the lyrics for the show.

Yeah, he wouldn’t share that song with a child, he’d just perform it on national television and upload it to the web were millions and millions of children might watch it. And he’s lying. Here’s the video of him performing that song with Nugent. The lyrics are not changed. It starts at about the 5:45 mark.

He’s a hypocrite and a liar. I bet that’s what Jesus would do, isn’t it Mike?

Well that’s the end of Huckabee. There’s not a Republican in the country who would vote for someone who tells lies.

…vulgar, misogynistic, and violent material when it’s performed by ‘cool’ people like Jay-Z and Beyoncé

I guess I’m getting old. I thought Beyonce and Jay-Z were vapid pop performers, no more likely to create vulgar, misogynistic, or violent material than Katy Perry or the latest fly-by-night boy band. To what material is Huckabee referring? I couldn’t help noticing he was never specific.

Huckabee told CP that the context was important.

Yes indeedy. And the context is that Nugent is a white male conservative.

“Here’s a shout-out to our favourite hypocrite, Mike Wannabe Huckabee. This one‘s for you Huckster!”

I grew up in a bible church and took the lessons of Jesus seriously. I chose a different path when I hit adolescence. I am still astonished at how easily so many supposed Christians lie. I get it, but it is almost always so blatant.

LOL! That’s a good one! Tell us some more!

You get used to that when you have any dealings with conservatives.

But don’t ask them to be specific! It hurts their feelings,

The lying I can deal with, the hypocrisy is just par for the course. In fact I was all set to vote for him. But this…

He plays bass with one finger!

When you hear that, always check to see if you still have your wallet.

Something you don’t hear often… Ted Nugent actually said “God Bless President Obama.” at 1:55 in the video

In honesty, he did change a few lyrics, just not the relevant ones. But of course, he was singing about petting the neighbors cat. After he shot and killed the neighbor for trespassing, that is.

Beyonce is a feminist. I too would love to know what “misogynist” lyrics she’s been foisting on America’s youth.

I’m willing to bet that the Huckster is claiming that any woman who performs in a sexually provocative manner MUST be an anthemia to the stereotypical man-hating, anti-sex feminism that he and other right-wingers have been posing for years . He’s playing the old game of trying to make liberals look like “hypocrites;” you can’t support Beyoncé’s act AND “feminism”, and while that may not work on you or I, it will score points with millions of other knuckle-draggers in his precious Bubbavile.
