WND: Liberals in a ‘Frenzy’ Over Victoria Jackson Song

Remember a few weeks ago when Carrie Underwood’s publicists got dozens of right wing websites to publish articles about how atheists were furious about a song about Jesus on her new album, without presenting a shred of evidence that any atheist had even noticed the song, much less gave a flying fuck about it? The Worldnetdaily tries the same thing to promote Victoria Jackson warbling about Obama with her ukelele.

Former “Saturday Night Live” star Victoria Jackson, a few years back, noted Barack Obama’s socialistic agenda and wrote and sang a ditty called “There’s a Communist in the White House.”

It was viewed by hundreds of thousands.

Now she’s released a new song that’s similar, and it’s going to send the monitors of politically incorrect speech into a frenzy.

It’s called “There’s a Muslim living in the White House.”

Yeah, it’s gonna be a frenzy people. And if we’re not careful, it could develop into a ruckus. Or even a full-blown hysteria. Or, far more likely, we’ll just scratch our heads in amazement that A) Victoria Jackson is still alive and B) anyone could possibly give a shit what she “thinks” about anything. But this is my favorite part:

WND called the White House with a request for comment, but the media office declined to listen to a question. WND was instructed to email the question, which was done, but no response followed.

They actually called the White House to ask them for a reaction to a song by a Saturday Night Live bit player from 25 years ago. Good on them. I’m dying to know what Obama thinks about Joe Piscopo’s latest work. If he’s working. Or even alive.

Is she singing it while doing a hand-stand? No? Not interested.

Who is Carrie Underwood and why in Cthulhu should I care?

Not only did I not notice her jesus song, but I never even knew (or cared) that she even existed.

  • jefferylanam

I’ve seen a couple of liberal websites link to her video. That doesn’t make it a frenzy. At the moment it’s barely a kerfuffle.

  • Alverant

Can there be a re-edited version of UHF that takes her out of the movie?

Joe Piscopo did his Frank Sinatra impression on the SNL 40th Anniversary show on Sunday.

    Just throwing that out there.

  • Chiroptera

Yet if liberals say nothing, then they’re pointedly ignoring her.

    I’m sorry, who?

Well, I suppose you can call uncontrollable yawning a “frenzy.”

    More like uncontrollable giggling.

  • dugglebogey

Did you see what Victoria Jackson did on the 40th Anniversary SNL special the other night?

Neither did anyone else, because she’s so insignificant she was evidently not even invited.

  • acroyear

Piscopo at least got an invite to SNL’s 40th to reprise his Sinatra. I note neither Jackson nor Dennis Miller showed up in person.

Rolling Stone’s cast ranking put Miller at 34, with the line, “The 80s, man – an era when Elton John married a woman and Dennis Miller was funny. I’ll have trouble explaining either of those facts to future generations.”

Jackson was third from last place.

I am constantly confronted with all manner of posts on my Facebook timeline about things that are supposed to have liberals “FUMING!!!!” or “OUTRAGED!!!” It’s usually something to do with some religious bullshit or some such thing. And I can never seem to find any liberal I know who might even have anything more than a vague knowledge of it, much less be OUTRAGED. They all seem to think we just spend our time cruising World Net Daily looking for fictitious assertions in order to get our colons all in a knot. When, in actuality, I don’t give a flying f@#k about anything that’s going on in their fetid fever swamp.

By “frenzy” I assume they mean how we find her continuing embarrassments amusing enough that we occasionally Google her toe see what silly thing she’s done lately.

  • busterggi

At least I can wash her out of my ears by listening to Tiny Tim.

  • himurastewie

The very same Carrie Underwood that sang a song about getting so drunk that she married some random dude in a Vegas drive through. Very Christian.

  • scienceavenger

Victoria Jackson apparently thought that when we were all laughing at her, it was because she was brilliant.

  • Ellie

I tried to watch/listen because I haven’t gone into a good frenzy for years. Alas, my ears started bleeding and I had to turn it off.

    Re raven @ # 2

I must admit to never having heard of the lady until 5 minutes ago but apparently she ain’t chopped liver.

I don’t remember any leftwing backlash at Carrie Underwood at all for any of her various songs referencing Jesus. I do remember the large amount of backlash she got from rightwingers over her statements in support of gay marriage.

I also remember that when she sang John Lennon’s Imagine on American Idol, despite her Cristianity she didn’t alter the line “and no religion too” as so many do. She’s okay be me.

  • http://www.aquaticape.org anthrosciguy

“okay by me” that should be.

Not in person, but she did appear in one or two of the flashback segments.

Victoria Jackson … who … ah … I vaguely remember her, I think … Ummm … That’s not who I was thinking of … I was thinking of Janet Jackson. I’m looking at picture and drawing a blank as to what she has done.

Wikipedia says she: “Following her departure from Saturday Night Live, Jackson starred in an X-Files episode “The Rain King” as the unrequited love of a small town man who can control the weather. ” I kind of remember that episode but her role clearly failed to dazzle me.

It goes on: “Jackson is a self-identified “devout Christian” and has appeared on programs such as The 700 Club[11] and Politically Incorrect. She also appears at Christian-oriented venues, and performed a stand-up routine in the 2007 Christian comedy concert Thou Shalt Laugh 2: The Deuce, which was hosted by Tim Conway.”

No wonder I don’t remember her.

Final word that explains a lot, and why I can safely ignore her opinion: “In 2012, Jackson published her autobiography, Is My Bow Too Big? How I went from Saturday Night Live to the Tea Party.”

She’s also a powerful opponent of ag gag laws, possibly the key factor in the governor’s veto. The most recent news I can find about her says she’s donated a guitar to save the life of a police dog. I’m surprised by the story in the OP, and if true I doubt she personally was behind it.

  • Artor

Joe Piscopo though Victoria Jackson was funny once. Once!

  • sigurd jorsalfar

I think I remember Victoria Jackson, but I’m not sure. Is she older or younger than Latoya?

  • dan4

Two things about this: 1. So Jackson changed her mind about Obama being a communist and decided he was a Muslim instead (i.e. since communism is an atheistic philosophy, being a communist and a Muslim are obviously mutually exclusive). Good to know. 2. Imagine the (rightful) uproar if someone posted a video with someone singing “There’s a Jew living in the White House.”

  • sumdum

All projection. The right is constantly outraged about shit so they think we are too.

  • eric

it’s going to send the monitors of politically incorrect speech into a frenzy.

I bet the other professors at the University laughed at her idea, too, but she’ll show them! Igor, throw the switch!

  • brucegee1962

Like most of the rest of the right wing these days, it’s all about trying to sell you stuff.

“Liberals are outraged” translates to “You want to get a bunch of left-wingers mad, don’t you? Doncha doncha doncha? Then buy this/click this/watch this! You’ll send a message that will get them all good and riled up!”

The left-wing equivalent is to sign a petition — it does exactly the same amount of good.
