Trump’s Hypocrisy on China

The other day, Donald Trump decided to post a tweet about how China is taking all our jobs, using it to argue that President Obama’s leadership is “incompetent.” Let’s just say that got thrown back in his face pretty hard as someone noted that his own clothing line is made in China:

Turns out this is not the first time he’s been called out on this very thing. David Letterman did it on national television more than two years ago:

You’d think Trump would have learned that maybe, when it comes to China, he ought to shut the fuck up.

When it comes to everything, he ought to shut the fuck up.

  • Jared James

I get the impression that dash in the sentence was him signing his title, “Incompetent Leader,” in place of his name.

And his hair looks like 10% Tibetan yak fur.

  • Mr Ed

This is just how bad Obama is, Obama is forcing good Americans like Trump to off shore his business. If we had real leadership in the White House this wouldn’t happen

When it comes to everything, he ought to shut the fuck up.

He’d still be an annoying, aggravating, clewless, mind-numbingly idiotic twit. And that’s when he’s sleeping and not lurching about in public.

blf – the real question is does the Donster have sails at all? 😉

Ed:You’d think Trump would have learned

I don’t think that is possible for the Donald. The Donald does not learn. The Donald teaches. And fires. yes. The Donald fires. And deals. The Donald deals. The Donald knows, The Donald does not need to learn., Bwa ha ha. ha. ha ha. bwa. Donald.

It’s raging hypocrisy for anyone on the Right to complain about off-shoring jobs to China or anywhere else. It’s been their explicit policy over the last several decades to break the back of American labor by moving jobs to places that have no labor or environmental laws, and whose people are desperately poor with no safety net.

Area Man: spot on! Well said.

And his hair looks like 10% Tibetan yak fur.

I think it’s 100% actually. The Yak hasn’t died yet; it’s just sleeping.

How can anyone take a guy seriously, wearing that? How does he manage to look in the mirror in the morning, and not think ‘I am a billionaire; I could afford a decent one’? It really needs a sign: ‘Ten and sixpence in this size’.

You guys better stop making fun of Trump or there will be hell toupée.

davem, #10: How can anyone take a guy seriously, wearing that?

Are you kidding me? If I were to start wearing a toupee, that is exactly the type I would wear!

On the other hand, I’m not a toupee wearer, so I may not really understand the reasons men wear toupees.

Trump? Learn? Shut the fuck up? Did you just get beamed in from an alternate universe?

It’s the government’s fault for not allowing Trump to duplicate the Chinese working conditions over here.

Area Man @8 – Exactly! If Obama were a good leader, he’d be out there tearing down labour laws, the minimum wage, and environmental regulations and replacing them with JOBS!

Snarkiness aside, I’ve been arguing this for years. The right-wing has almost completely demolished welfare (up here in Canada too), but they haven’t finished the job yet. They want to do away with minimum wages, break the backs of unions, and completely gut environmental and workplace regulations. Get ready to start sewing t-shirts for 20 cents an hour in the United States and Canada, because that’s what the oligarchy is working damned hard to bring around.

Hey, he’s got to cut costs somehow. It’s the only way he can avoid another bankruptcy.

I guess Trump doesn’t realize that more jobs have been create so far in the Obama presidency that at the same point in the Bush Presidency.

    January 2001-March 2007: +5,028,000 jobs

    January 2009-March 2015: +7,206,000 jobs
