Spicer: Trump’s Tweets are Official White House Statements

Only 24 hours after Baghdad Kellyanne Conway scolded the media for paying attention to Trump’s tweets, Sean Spicer told the reporters at the daily White House briefing that his tweets are actually official statements from the president.

During Tuesday’s White House press briefing, Spicer was asked if the White House considered Trump’s tweets to be “official statements.”

“The president is the president of the United States so they are considered official statements by the president of the United States,” Spicer insisted.

And once again we see Trump’s underlings giving completely contradictory statements. Is there any adult in charge there at all? It doesn’t seem so. I swear, every time they show a Trump official on TV they should be playing Yakkity Sax in the background to set the appropriate tone.

About Ed Brayton

After spending several years touring the country as a stand up comedian, Ed Brayton tired of explaining his jokes to small groups of dazed illiterates and turned to writing as the most common outlet for the voices in his head. He has appeared on the Rachel Maddow Show and the Thom Hartmann Show, and is almost certain that he is the only person ever to make fun of Chuck Norris on C-SPAN.
