NC KKK Group Praises Murder of Heather Heyer

Again, in case you didn’t hate these people enough already, a KKK group in North Carolina is praising James Allen Fields Jr. for murdering Heather Heyer at the Nazi rally in Virginia last weekend. They actually put it on their voicemail message at the office (which I assume is in the back of Uncle Goober’s barn).

Tuesday afternoon, Moore – along with Imperial Wizard Chris Barker and Amanda Baker – gave an on-camera interview to WBTV.

“When a couple of them die, it doesn’t bother us,” Chris Barker said. “They’re always attacking and messing with our rallies.”…

Amanda Barker added that she “hates what happened in Charlottesville, with the hitting and people attacking people.”

But the group praises Fields in a recorded message that plays when you call the group’s headquarters.

“Nothing makes us more proud at the KKK than we see white patriots such as James Fields Jr, age 20, taking his car and running over nine communist anti-fascist, killing one (expletive)-lover named Heather Heyer,” the recorded message says. “James Fields hail victory. It’s men like you that have made the great white race strong and will be strong again.”

These people are monsters in every way. Heyer’s father, though, says he’s forgiven the guy who killed her.

Heyer said the lesson of the tragedy in Charlottesville is that people on all sides need to learn to forgive each other.

“I include myself in forgiving the guy who did this,” he said. “I just think about what the Lord said on the cross, ‘Forgive them, they don’t know what they’re doing.’ ”

Okay, look…this guy can handle the death of his daughter any way he wants, obviously. But no. Not a chance in hell if that were me. And frankly, I’m really tired of hearing all this Pollyanna B.S. about “only love can conquer hate.” We didn’t defeat Hitler the first time by giving him a lot of hugs or by standing around and singing Kumbaya. And these people aren’t going to suddenly become cuddly if we just forgive them and love them.

This goes along with an idea that has always bothered me, the denigration of hate as a bad thing in all cases. You’ve heard all the cliches, I’m sure. “Hate only hurts yourself” and “hatred is too great a burden to carry.” Nonsense. If there are people, things and ideas worth loving in this world, there are also people, things and ideas worth hating. Some people and some ideas should be hated with the fire of a thousand proverbial suns and white supremacy is one of them.
