In the vast landfill of tireless Trump media defenders, former Congressman Jack Kingston is nearly as bad as Jeffrey Lord. He can be counted on to defend anything Trump says or does, no matter how inane or inaccurate his claims have to be. To wit, defending Trump’s attacks on the pregnant widow of a Green Beret killed in Niger:
“That is casual cruelty, would you not acknowledge, congressman?” Burnett asked Kingston.
Well, I think Americans knew Donald Trump and they knew who they elected and he’s a guy from the streets of Queens if you will,” the former congressman suggested.
“Oh my God, don’t put this on Queens,” Symone Sanders interrupted. “Congressman Kingston, do not put that on Queens.”…Former Rep. Kingston returned again to Trump being from the street when responding.
“He’s a tough guy and if you him or push him, he’s going to push back,” Kingston claimed.
The word you’re looking for is “bully.” Trump is a thin-skinned bully who is incapable of taking any criticism whatsoever without unleashing a torrent of bluster and rage in reply. As for this claim about Queens…for crying out loud, this isn’t a guy who grew up having to fight for his life, he was born to an incredibly rich family and inherited a couple hundred million dollars. You’d think he was Oliver Twist to hear Kingston tell it.
