Donald Trump screams “fake news” at the top of his lungs every time anyone reports something he doesn’t like, but his firing of Rex Tillerson completely undermines that constant mantra. Because guess what Trump called it when the New York Times reported that this was being planned? FAKE NEWS! On Nov. 30th, the Times said this:
The White House has developed a plan to force out Secretary of State Rex W. Tillerson, whose relationship with President Trump has been strained, and replace him with Mike Pompeo, the C.I.A. director, perhaps within the next several weeks, senior administration officials said on Thursday.
The media has been speculating that I fired Rex Tillerson or that he would be leaving soon – FAKE NEWS! He’s not leaving and while we disagree on certain subjects, (I call the final shots) we work well together and America is highly respected again!https://t.co/FrqiPLFJ1E

So “fake news” was, in fact, 100% accurate news. Keep that in mind next time he vomits up that convenient claim.
