Former White House Press Secretary finds himself virtually unemployable, so he’s written a book to pay the bills and has embarked on a press tour to resurrect his public standing. On the Today show, he contradicted his old boss’ claim that the Mueller investigation is a “witch hunt,” but says there’s no evidence of collusion between the Russians and the Trump campaign.
Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer said that he does not believe special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation is a political witch hunt, contradicting a claim often repeated by President Donald Trump.
“As of now, I see no evidence that it is,” Spicer said during an exclusive interview on “Today.”Spicer, however, also said that there has been “no evidence” of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
One could take this more seriously if they didn’t know beyond a shadow of a doubt that, had he not been forced out by the hiring of Anthony Scaramucci, Spicer would still be standing everyday before the press and calling it a witch hunt. That’s what he was paid to do, to lie for the president. He is a paid, professional liar. And he would still be doing it if he could. There is no redemption once you’ve chosen that profoession.
