Long Weekend

Just returned from the World Humanist Congress in Washington, D.C.

With the sole exception of printing my boarding pass last night, I just spent four days without using a computer or reading the news.

It was the most wonderful sabbatical ever.

Now, to hell with that.

Back to my normal life :)

    What?

You went to a conference and didn’t bring a laptop?

What sort of monster are you?

I’m deeply shaken. I don’t know who you are anymore. :-)

    Brought a laptop.

Cursed hotel for charging $10/day for use of said laptop.

    Took sabbatical.

    $10/day–for what? That’s un-American.

Hemant, can I interest you in some mobile broadband? It’s slightly less expensive than $10/day…

I, too, was in the D.C. area for the past week or so without a laptop. In a week, I checked my email a total of 3 times. It was great. :-) Now I’m catching up…
