The Tutor went to a midnight premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 to find out if moviegoers were well-versed in the Bible.
Turns out JK Rowling ranks a little higher on their priority list…

That was cute!
Everything about this makes me hate my life.
I don’t get it.
Talk about delusion! I honestly cannot tell if this is satire or real. I’d assume satire, but the facial expressions at some of the answers…
Can’t tell if trolling…
It’s satire, and it’s hilarious. Check out the other videos, it’s much more obvious.
I watched the other videos, reasonably sure it’s a satire.
This one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsVZgdfxHoA&feature=relmfu is pretty good.
And she is still hot.
These kids give me hope.
I assume it’s satire, but sometimes it’s hard to tell. I’m sure there are some actual fundies who might act like this. Still, pretty funny.
I recently watched the Harry Potter documentary We are Wizards, which had a section on fundy protests, and I’m sad to say this isn’t that far off from reality
Haha, that was great.
(Anal retentive unrelated side note: Your comments are now listed from newest to oldest, instead of oldest to newest. Gah, change!!!)
Just above and to the right of the first comment you have a window that in your case probably says “sort by newest first”. You can change it to whatever suits you
“What do you guys plan to do when you get to Hell?” Ah, good old Christian prejudice… got to love it.
Every part of that video was awesome, though my favorite was “Who is a better writer, Rowling or God?” –> “God didn’t write the Bible”. Excellent!
Seems like the usual Poe material. I can’t be sure one way or the other, but whatever, the questions are meaningless, but she is quite cute.
There were protesters at the midnight showing that I went to. I asked them how they knew God didn’t write through Rowling and that the Harry Potter books are actually just new books of the Bible. Then they called me a witch and I said that magic isn’t real. I then proceeded to freak them out and amuse my sister by pulling out my replica Hermione wand and singing from the Wicked soundtrack.
Wow. Really? You’d think after 10 years that would have given up the with the protesting… Sheesh.
I wish there were video.
So the Church Lady had offspring? Her reaction “twitch” was spot on.
God didn’t write the bible… God communicated it through others…
Just once, I would like to see God directly do something by Himself.
He is such a slacker. He always has to get other people to do and say things for Him… almost like He doesn’t even exist.
Cute video, though. Those kids were great.
This girl is a master at the Poe. Her other videos are more obvious, but in all she’s very good at presenting this material with a straight face and the faux sincerity of so many Christians. She has the look down perfectly too.
Hehe nice Obviously a Poe, but a good one!
Some of Ray Comfort’s decepticons were passing out giant ‘million dollar bill’ flyers outside of Harry Potter in Burbank. I don’t think they were specifically there to protest Potter; they seem to be in that same spot every week. I wouldn’t take his giant leaflet. I said “No thanks, already going to hell…” “Well, you won’t be laughing on that day, sir…” was his reply. Awesome!
She wasn’t nearly condescending enough to be real.
I love her show! her humor demonstrates the arrogance of evangelicals…
