An Atheist Conference in the Carolinas

If you’re an atheist living in North or South Carolina, this conference on September 28th-30th may be of interest to you:

The Carolinas Secular Conference is an annual opportunity for Freethinkers from across the Carolinas region to come together and share ideas, plans, and initiatives between themselves, for local groups, and the region as a whole.

This event is a celebration of our growing secular movement and culture, but also a chance to join in a live network of planning to meet the challenges of the next year and the coming decade.

Speakers include the American Humanist Association’s Maggie Ardiente and the Secular Coalition for America’s Edwina Rogers.

That’s only about an hour’s drive from here.  Still, nah.

    I’m looking forward to it.

I am looking forward to the 2012 conference with great anticipation!  I went last year and it was an incredible experience.  Not only was it a lot of fun, I had the opportunity to meet and network with many people from across the Carolinas and I was able to take home to my local group lots of ideas I learned from the workshops as well as from other groups.  This conference will have something from everyone – those interested in larger regional projects as well as those more focused on local initiatives.  I cannot recommend it enough.
