This Little Boy Is Skeptical About Santa (and He’s Not Afraid to Tell Him)

When NPR reporter Sarah McCammon‘s six-year-old son had to write a letter to Santa in class, it should’ve been a simple assignment… but he’s very skeptical of the whole “Santa” story. That’s why he wasted no time letting the non-existent man know how he really felt.

“Im only doing this for the class,” the letter says. “I know your notty list is emty. And your good list is emty. And your life is emty. You dont know the troubles Ive had in my life. Good bye.” The kid signs off with “Love” but refuses to identify himself, writing, “Im not telling you my name.”

Smart young man. And clearly a future blog reader. (*Waves*)

As for the “troubles” in the boy’s life, McCammon said there was no reason to be concerned:

The struggle is real.

For his next trick, I hope the boy writes a letter to God. That one would be even better.
