Turns out that the the Naugler parents have regained custody of their ten children from the state of Kentucky. No word on how this happened. I would imagine that the family was either found to be properly providing for their children or that the parents, Joe and Nicole, improved the living situation on their land enough to meet state requirements. Suspecting it’s probably the later considering a fundraiser for the family brought in over 70K for improvements on their very crude living arrangements. Plus it sounds like from the news stories that Kentucky CPS is still going to be part of this family’s life for quite some time. Unless they do what they’ve done in the past, pick up stakes and move to another state.
Both parents still face criminal charges.
Around July 4th Jessa Duggar Seewald posted a photo on her social media of Jill, Derick and baby Israel Dillard getting on an airplane with a caption indicating that the Dillards were on their way to a years long mission trip. Turns out the photo was from another occasion, not the Dillards leaving for overseas. But there has been speculation online in various news outlets that perhaps this long mission trip is a way for Jill Duggar Dillard to avoid being questioned in court during that pending lawsuit against her brother Josh Duggar. It wouldn’t be the first or last time that a Quiverfull Fundamentalist Christian type took to a mission trip or left the area to avoid court.
A report published last week by InTouch showed that a non-relative victim intended to sue Josh Duggar in civil court.
Jill Duggar would almost certainly be called to testify in that case, but she and her husband insist their mission work had been planned for a long time.
“God has put a desire in our hearts to serve Him internationally for longer than the typical short-term mission trip,” Derick Dillard said on the family’s website. “We were prepared for the possibility of it being years before our family would be able to make a move of that magnitude.”
Apparently the news that the Duggar family does not wear normal swimwear to the pool is just now getting around to the tabloids. This July 4th holiday many of them have been posting articles about Jessa Duggar Seewald’s appearance in mens board shorts and a tee shirt at the swimming pool as just the weirdest thing ever. Guess none of them have seen or are aware of the fact that the Duggar ladies used to only be seen at a pool in Wholesome Wear swimsuits, basically a school lunch ladies dress over leggings and a leotard. Seriously, that much fabric could drown you in the ocean! Seeing Jessa in board shorts is a step forward considering Michelle thinks that any form of pants on a female is ‘immodest’ I think it’s a cute and improved look for Jessa.
Obviously the tabloid press still thinks that the Duggars are a one-of, instead of a lifestyle embraced by thousands of people. Glaring ignorance of what they’re reporting on.
Is it really going to be such a big issue if you show a few inches of thigh around your family for the sake of comfort? If you can’t let your hair down around your family at the pool on the fourth of July, are you ever going to be able to do it?
Glad you’re having fun and all, Duggars, but man. Let loose a little.
Here’s the Instagram photo that started all the complaining about the Duggar’s modest swimwear. What do you think? They look pretty normal from here.
