Have You Seen Rowan Morrison?

Even though the film is about May Day, I think Lammas/Lughnasadh is the perfect time to watch The Wicker Man. Extended version of course.

Oh, and “like” Patheos Pagan on FB. If we hit 3,000 fans I may post a video of me doing a happy dance.

I owe Cat Chapin-Bishop a happy dance!

    Thank you for that!

Though I must say, that’s the most grim-faced happy-dance I’ve ever seen…the dancing was good, certainly, but I was imagining a little egg timer going off just offscreen somewhere, “Okay, I’m only obliged to do forty seconds of this dancing, let’s get this over with…”  ;)

I AM only obliged to happy dance for 40 seconds! I’ll work the face better next time.

        No worries, dear friend!  ;)

And, for the record, WE ALL jealous o’ yo’ boogie!  ;)

It wasn’t until I watched the (utterly woeful) remake (that I refuse to acknowledge, most of the time) that I really noticed that the locals in the Wicker Man were the ‘bad guys’.

It always seemed to me that Sergeant Howie was both the protagonist (the central character) and antagonist (the ‘bad guy’). Certainly, I always cheer when he gets shoved in the effigy.
