It is not a poetic metaphor, I am literally surviving off the kindness and generosity of others right now. I am crashing at friend #2′s place and will be crashing with friend #3 before the weekend is over. I’m going to be a gypsy for a few more days while I get my things in order, but before the end of the weekend I will be in Minneapolis. It’s exciting and terrifying and completely overwhelming. I don’t even know how to begin to thank people for all the kindness and generosity I have experienced. Thank you all so much, friends both near and far.

You remind me of those halcyon days when I was between a lease being up on my apartment and the day I was leaving town, where none of the people I knew would allow me to crash on their couch or in their guest-rooms, and I had to live in my office (at the job I technically no longer worked at) for two weeks…not fun.

But, I hope you’re much better in your luck than I was–from the sounds of it, you already are by a factor of at least three!  :)

I find myself commiserating as I have been there myself once upon a time. Brightest of Blessings on your adventure. I have no doubt that you will make it wherever you land. There are those of us who wish to help without decimating what’s left of your Pride.

Star, do you have a place to stay when you get here?

  • Star Foster

I do, for a bit. Longterm plans are hazy, so we will see how life unfolds here!
