Islamic terror: Two Palestinians stormed a Jerusalem synagogue on Tuesday, screaming “Allah hu’Akbar” while attacking worshippers praying inside with meat cleavers and a gun, killing four people before they were killed in a shootout with police.
After the act of religious terrorism, masked men armed with axes and guns struck macho poses while women distributed sweets to children in the streets of Gaza, as Palestinians openly celebrated the bloody and cowardly attack.
The Islamic terrorists, named as cousins Uday and Rassan Abu Jamal, both in their 20s, burst into a synagogue just before 7am as up to 30 worshippers gathered for prayers.
Using hand guns, axes, and cleavers, they rampaged through the building, sending those inside running for their lives in terror.
Pictures posted online showed a bloodied meat cleaver at the scene, along with heavily blood-stained floors and bodies covered in shawls.
Eye witness Ya’akov Amos said:
“The terrorist moved to within a metre of me then started shooting. One, two, three, bang, bang, bang. I immediately hit the ground and tried to protect myself with a prayer stand. He kept screaming ‘Allah hu’Akbar’.”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed that Israel will “respond harshly” to the attack, describing it as a “cruel murder of Jews who came to pray and were killed by despicable murderers.”
Netanyahu’s office said:
“We will respond with a heavy hand to the brutal murder of Jews who came to pray and were met by reprehensible murderers.”
In an editorial, The Guardian argues the Jerusalem killings “must not become a holy war,” noting:
Tuesday’s killers risk turning the conflict of Palestinian against Israeli into a battle of Muslim against Jew.
Note to The Guardian: that ship sailed a long time ago – Muslims have been engaged in a holy war with the Jews in Israel for more than 50 years now.
And the beat goes on, as religious fanatics dance to a cruel and capricious tune played by their imaginary god, blood runs through the streets, and children, encouraged by adults, celebrate the carnage with sweets.
