NBA All-Star Kyrie Irving Claims The Earth Is Flat

Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star guard Kyrie Irving believes the Earth is flat, and that the authorities “lie to us.”

While appearing on a recent edition of the podcast Road Trippin’ with RJ & Channing with teammates Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye, the Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star point guard defended the ludicrous claim that the Earth is flat.

Irving said:

This is not even a conspiracy. The Earth is flat. The Earth is flat. The Earth is flat. All these things that particular groups, I won’t even pinpoint one group, that they almost offer up this education. The fact that, in our lifetimes, that there are so many holes and so many pockets in our history. … I’m telling you, it’s right in front of our faces. They lie to us. …

Irving continued:

For what I’ve known for many years and what I’ve been taught is that the Earth is round, but if you really think about it from a landscape of the way we travel, the way we move and the fact that — can you really think of us rotating around the sun, and all planets align, rotating in specific dates, being perpendicular with what’s going on with these planets and stuff like this.

Irving added:

Everything that was put in front of me, I had to be like, ‘Oh, this is all a facade.’ Like, this is all something that they ultimately want me to believe in … but now there is a certain aspect of life in which I want to tell people about, which is this true journey of really becoming a complete individual and total freedom of thought. Do you know what I’m saying? Question things, but even if an answer doesn’t come back, you’re perfectly fine with that, because you were never living in that particular truth. There’s a falseness in stories and things that people want you to believe and ultimately what they throw in front of us.

Irving doubled-down on his belief that the Earth is flat while speaking with ESPN’s Arash Markazi on Friday:

Irving told ESPN:

I think people should do their own research, man. Hopefully they’ll either back my belief or they’ll throw it in the water. But I think it’s interesting for people to find out on their own.

I’ve seen a lot of things that my educational system has said that was real that turned out to be completely fake. I don’t mind going against the grain in terms of my thoughts.

Irving also has some questions about dinosaurs:
