Ask and you shall receive: Michele Bachmann asks God if she should run for Senate, God says “No.”
Last month former Minnesota congresswoman Michele Bachmann said she was consulting with God on a possible run for Al Franken’s U.S. Senate seat. And now God has replied.
A billboard appeared in St. Paul, just as thousands of people are descending on the state for the 2018 Super Bowl, with the Almighty Himself addressing Bachmann’s Senate ambitions with one word: “NO.”

Last month the conservative Christian Republican told End Times televangelist Jim Bakker that she asked God if she should run for the U.S. Senate seat left vacant by Al Franken.
Speaking on Bakker’s show Bachmann said:
I’ve had people contact me and urge me to run for that Senate seat, and the only reason I would run is for the ability to take these principles into the United States Senate. The question is, should it be me? Should it be now?
Indicating that God would provide an answer, Bachmann added:
So the question is, am I being called to do this now?Answering her own question Bachmann said:
I don’t know.
But there’s also a price you pay. And the price is bigger than ever because the swamp is so toxic.
If you’re going against the tide in D.C., if you’re trying to stand for biblical principles, and you stick your head up, the blades come whirring and they try to chop you off.
Watch the video below – (Bonus: at the end of the video a deranged and deluded Jim Bakker suggests that there is a plot to assassinate Donald Trump, claiming “right now, they want to kill the president of the United States and if they could put a contract [out on Donald Trump]—which they probably already have—they would do so.”)
The former congresswoman is a controversial politician, and a dangerous Christian extremist. In the past Bachmann has:
- argued that immigrants should be indoctrinated into “America’s predominant Christian religion;”
- attributed the United States’ success to the Ten Commandments while claiming that U.S. lawmakers stand “under the authority” of the ancient biblical figure Moses;
- claimed that gays promote child rape, and pedophilia;
- claimed that God uses terrorist attacks to humiliate President Barack Obama.
Bottom line: Michele Bachmann asked God for a sign, and God has spoken. The answer is “No.”
