Yes, we are aware that Fort Bragg hasn’t added us to their calendar (yet)

Thank you all for writing in so frequently. I wish I could respond to every letter I get, but I really do read them all. Please keep them coming – it’s like a care package every day!

Some of you have noticed that the Fort Bragg events calendar hasn’t been fleshed out to include Rock Beyond Belief on March 31st, 2012. Relax, for now. I’ve specifically requested and was approved to get this and many other forms of public visibility from the base.

We’ll be on the various event calendars. Posters and fliers will be distributed on post. All-user notices will be emailed from Fort Bragg’s PAO and MWR to the 60,000 troops. Stories will appear in the local Fort Bragg paper, Paraglide. At least, that’s the sort of support that we have been approved.

I’m just as nervous and watchful about what ‘actually happens’ as anybody in our community. I’m working with some great people at Fort Bragg. More progress is made on some days than others. I’m not going to lie and say that everything has been smooth sailing since the approval. The last month or so has been better, so keep your chins up.

Fort Bragg owes me some very important paperwork right now, and my attitude will be completely colored by what I receive. In fact, a significant site redesign is hinging on this. I’ve neglected the lineup page for far too long, and we’ll have prominently displayed schedules, hotel information, special instructions on how to get on post, etc.

Also, we’ve connected with our entire lineup for re-re-re-confirmation. We expected that schedule conflicts might cause some of our lineup to shuffle after the long approval process. We’ve lost Jen McCreight – a hero of mine. She happens to be planning a freethought conference on the opposite side of the country too close to our date – and I hear it’s already sold out! As always, you can follow Jen over at BlagHag, a daily read for me.

I’m incredibly humbled to announce that everyone else is still on board! They are also extremely generous with their time and their celebrity. Every one of them has waived their honorarium / booking fee (!!!) Richard Dawkins wont even let us pay for his flight!

I want you all to keep your eyes peeled for some highly visible support in the next few weeks. Please do continue to e-mail me these tips.

What a wonderful, awesome gesture on the part of these artists to provide their time and their efforts without being paid! It says something about them as individuals that they consider the RBB cause more valuable than their usual rate. You’ve really started something of significance here, Justin. They see it as well as we do. You have a lot to be proud of here.

I needed to create you this very little word to be able to say thanks a lot again about the splendid things you have featured here. This has been really shockingly open-handed of people like you to grant publicly what a lot of people could have offered for sale as an e book in order to make some money for themselves, certainly given that you might well have tried it if you ever desired. The basics likewise worked like a great way to be certain that some people have a similar keenness just as my own to grasp way more with regard to this condition. I am sure there are thousands of more fun occasions ahead for many who take a look at your blog.
