“Christian persecution” rears its ugly…oh who are we kidding~! Stop lying…

This picture is being passed around Facebook with this absolutely ridiculous story

ACLU vs. US Marines

If you look closely at the picture, you will note that all the Marines pictured are bowing their heads. That’s because they’re praying. This incident took place at a recent ceremony honoring the birthday of the corps, and it has the ACLU up in arms. “These are federal employees,” says Lucius Traveler, a spokesman for the ACLU, “on federal property and on federal time.. For them to pray is clearly an establishment of religion, and we must nip this in the bud immediately.”

When asked about the ACLU’s charges, Colonel Jack Fessender, speaking for the Commandant of the Corps said SCREW the ACLU.” GOD Bless Our Warriors. Send the ACLU to Afghanistan!

Please send this to people you know so everyone will know how stupid the ACLU is getting in trying to remove GOD from everything and every place in America May God Bless America, One Nation Under GOD!

What’s wrong with the picture? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! GOD BLESS YOU FOR PASSING IT ON! I am sorry but I am not breaking this one….Let us pray!
Prayer chain for our Military…please don’t break it
Lets put the ALCU in combat for a few weeks and then see what their beliefs would be.

Remember their tremendous sacrifice!!!

hmmm…odd I remember my sacrifice and I actually remember being forced to take part in prayer ceremonies I didn’t want to be a part of – after EVERY graduation, change of command, or any other type of “honors” were conducted.

The Marines pictured above are in formation and have no “opt-out”. To be constitutionally compliant it should really be an “opt in” any time they want to pursue religious appeal. But the military hasn’t always been an organization to uphold and defend the Constitution within the ranks, which is what spurned my involvement in activism.

I googled “Colonel Jack Fessender” and immediately came up with nothing but links about how this entire debacle is an elaborate email hoax designed to sway and fool ignorant masses of the evangelical crusaders.

Here are some links

Additionally, because I have access to the Marine database – being a Marine and all – there is not nor has been a Colonel Jack Fessender to serve in my uniform.

Keep on praying…

Lying for Jesus. As their numbers dwindle, Christians resort to increasingly unethical tactics. This brings a short-term gain, but also continues the long-term loss. Their solution is the continuing cause of their problem, dwindling numbers. Practicing hate, then when called out on it, lying about it. Practicing willful ignorance, then when called out on it, lying about it. Practicing hypocrisy, then when called out on it, lying about it. Go on, lie, lie, lie yourselves into extinction, telling yourselves all the way that it’s okay to lie for Jesus.

      > Christians resort to increasingly unethical tactics.

I’m not sure that’s actually a change. After all, Jesus is a myth and the whole religion is a fiction, but they never tell children that.

My sister’s mother-in-law gets about 50 emails a week like this and believes every one of them to be true. She immediately forwards them to my mother. Luckily my mom has trouble using her email anyhow, so I set up a filter to completely delete every message that woman ever sends to my mom.

According to Snopes, this has been going around since 2003, at least.
