In Jerusalem camels are being used to bless Donald Trump

In Jerusalem camels are being used to bless Donald Trump December 25, 2017

Oh, and billboards and buses too are carrying a message concocted by a lunatic called Mike Evans, 70, founder of Friends of Zion Heritage Centre in Jerusalem.
In reporting on the appearance of the banners and signs, Charisma News trumpeted:

Around the world this Christmas, millions of Christians – and Jews – can thank Donald Trump for the great Christmas gift of recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

It went on to explain that Evans, the man behind this idiocy believes  – “along with other evangelical leaders” – that Trump is:

A modern day Cyrus, the Persian King in the Bible who helped the Jewish people return to Jerusalem after the Babylonian exile.

Said Evans, above:

No president in history has ever built such an alliance for the State of Israel and the Jewish people, and no president has courageously stood up for the State of Israel on the global stage as President Trump.
President Trump’s historic recognition of Jerusalem will secure his place in history as the first American president to take that step since the founding of the State of Israel in 1948.

Evans says Trump’s actions will benefit America.

We believe what he (Trump) did is going to bring the blessing of God on our own country America.

On the other hand, many others believe that Trump may end up sparking a religious war.
The current campaign, involving 110 signs, is scheduled to continue until Vice President Mike Pence’s visit to Israel in mid-January.
Before I head off for winter solstice lunch with friends at a nearby Spanish restaurant, may I take this opportunity wish all Freethinker supporters a jolly festive season and a very happy new year.
Oh, and let me share a yuletide illustration created by our brilliant resident artist, Shell Fisher, for our weekly bulletin subscribers (if you haven’t already subscribed, I urge you to do so by entering your email address at the foot of the main page):

“Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not sure about the former.” Albert Einstein.
As with much else Einstein got that right. I think his uncertainty has been removed.

And of course the Pope has to chip in as well. Why can’t the fuckwits understand that the strife and hatred befouling Jerusalem and most other zones of conflict is caused by the religious divisions and the poison vomitted from the craws of the shitehawk of clerics. Clerics just like the pope. And is it not appalingly specious of tghe pope to wish peace upon the jews when the popes own church has been involved in antisemitic conspiracies for centuries. Methinks the pope speaks with forked tongue.

    Genocidal Jihadis…eagerly awaiting the Apocalypse.
Looney American evangelicals…eagerly awaiting the Apocalypse.
What a pair! And the Big Cheeto just stick his oar into the pot as if he had the power to do anything but make for more violence and destruction.

What a grotesque alliance, Zionism and US evangelism.
The common factor is of course that both groups of religiots think that some sky fairy gavethem someone else’s country.

According to Herodotus, Cyrus died fighting against insurgent tribes in what is now Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Trump better watch out. Next trip to Tashkent or Astana…

I thought the most nauseating remark of the holiday was the pope’s call for an end to the suffering of children. Well, is he finally going to do something about it then?

barriejohn: You have to give him credit for perfectly defining hypocrisy in a uniquely RCC way.
“We believe what he (Trump) did is going to bring the blessing of God on our own country America.” No blessing from god could possibly make up for the curse of having trump as president. He is ‘The Orange Curse’, ‘the Kiss of Orange death’ and a pox on America!
