“I Do” – Support Australian Marriage Equality

Two-hundred and fifty volunteers came together on a Sunday afternoon in Sydney Town Hall for Australian Marriage Equality. The aim was to create a “mega-mob” video to show the statistics in support of marriage equality – for all.

    It’s good to promote progressive ideas and the visibility of same sex couples surely makes them less of an “other” – so that’s good, too. But I don’t see why anyone interested in minority rights should support the idea of rights by popularity!

    Something is not moral because most people think it is.

    A novel way to produce a pie chart and hopefully turn heads to this important issue. So sad that an atheist was the one to dash the hopes and dreams of LGBT families against the wall when she sided with the bigots in the government instead of fighting for marriage equality.

    Also, good to have you as another voice of reason on FTB!
