Professor Bruce M Hood And The RI Christmas Lectures 2011

Brilliant, brilliant stuff. Enjoy! There’ll be more appearing on UK Television and online (iPlayer and YouTube). The Christmas Lectures are a traditional are lectures for 11 – 17yr-olds and therefore very accessible viewing:

The Royal Institution Christmas Lectures are a series of lectures on a single topic, which have been held at the Royal Institution in London each year since 1825. The lectures present scientific subjects to a general audience, including young people, in an informative and entertaining manner. Michael Faraday initiated the first Christmas Lecture series in 1825. This came at a time when organised education for young people was scarce.

Now we can add Professor Bruce M Hood to that list (in fact, he should be added to that Wikipedia page, will get onto that…). You can also get a free extract from his forthcoming book ‘The Self Illusion’ from Amazon.com.
