Tim Minchin To Star In Californication

I can’t quite believe it myself.

Minchin will play eccentric rock star Atticus Fetch, who works with Hank Moody (Duchovny) on a Broadway musical.

When Hank’s novel is adapted into the show A Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Fetch is recruited to write the music.

In real life, Minchin recently wrote Matilda: The Musical, based on the Roald Dahl novel. The West End show, which will debut on Broadway in 2014, won a record seven Olivier Awards earlier this week.

Why don’t you hear from him?

I’ve never seen a single episode. Guess that has to change!

I hate that show, the writing is contrived, the plots predictable and full of holes, the sex gratuitous and the dialogue insipid.

I’ve seen every episode and I hate each and every one yet I don’t stop watching it.

I’m not sure why that is so but it is.

Maybe Tim Minchin’s character will walk out, disgusted with what his job has to entail? Or maybe do the Pope Song at him?
